Hello, my name is Brian Duval, and I’m a Brooklyn-based Junior 3D artist studying at Pratt Institute.
I have over three years of animation production experience working on original 3D animated short films with a technical painting background. I draw from everyday life, experimenting with both digital and traditional mediums to tell stories harking back to my own life experiences. My interests lie at the intersection of intuition, play, and the desire to learn.
My work explores themes related to nature, abstractions of organisms, queer life, and friendship. I’m excited by the fantastical possibilities CGI and digital media provide, breaking reality and creating illusions using problem-solving. When not found working on creative projects, I can be found playing tennis, or teaching students how to draw in my free time.
